Walt Disney's second full-length animated film was 1940's Pinocchio. Based on the novel by Carlo Collodi, Pinocchio told the tale of a wooden boy, created by a shoe-maker, who wished to become a real little boy and the adventures he had in his quest. Pinocchio also introduced audiences to Jiminy Cricket, who would become one of Disney's most popular creations.
